Our exploration philosophy is focused on taking high equity, operated interests in licences stepping out from one of our core areas that contains an existing discovery. This approach leads to a reduction in the technical risk as we are exploring in proven hydrocarbon provinces. 

Our extensive team of geologists and geophysicists are principally based in our Bangkok and Jakarta offices and have deep experience in SE Asia. As a “rocks-led” company understanding the sub-surface in integral to everything we do.

We are looking to open up trends of success and therefore all of our exploration acreage contains multiple leads and prospects that provide significant follow up potential in the event of a discovery.

By exploring close to where we are producing, we are able to benefit from fiscal synergies that significantly reduce the balance sheet exposure to a sustained exploration programme, without diluting the potential resource upside.
